In the global architectural exterior cladding and trim systems, smooth white aluminum trim coils remain the most widely used and versatile classic option. Whether for eaves fascia edging, door and window trim, rain gutters, or exterior wall transition lines, white aluminum trim coils, with their neutral and versatile visual attributes and the corrosion-resistant and durable properties of aluminum, have become a common choice for various projects, including residential, commercial, and public buildings. Compared to custom styles such as wood grain and metallic colors, the smooth white surface boasts higher technological maturity, better color stability, and stronger batch consistency, making it a benchmark product that balances cost and quality.

The base material of smooth white trim coil is based on AA3003-H14 and AA3105-H14 aluminum-manganese alloys. Both alloys possess excellent rust resistance and cold bending forming capabilities, perfectly adapting to the on-site bending, rolling, and fastening processes of trim coils. AA3003 offers balanced overall performance, suitable for most conventional building applications; AA3105, with a higher magnesium-manganese content, boasts superior strength and dent resistance, making it ideal for large-sized decorative surfaces requiring high flatness. Standard supply thicknesses range from 0.30mm to 0.70mm (0.012"–0.027"), with 0.40mm and 0.50mm being the mainstream specifications in the global market. Standard widths are available in 300mm, 400mm, 500mm, and 600mm, and custom slitting can also be provided to meet project requirements. Width tolerances are controlled within ±0.2mm to ensure a seamless installation.

The smooth white coating is a core quality feature of aluminum trim coil product. The color system covers three classic whites: RAL 9003 Signal White, RAL 9010 Pure White, and RAL 9016 Traffic White, corresponding to warm, neutral, and cool visual tendencies respectively, matching the overall color scheme of different buildings. The coating uses a double-sided roller coating process. The front is a high-gloss, smooth polyester topcoat with a dry film thickness of 20–25μm, a stable gloss level of 75±5 degrees at 60°, uniform mirror reflection, a delicate surface free of particles and flow marks, and a clean and transparent appearance. The back is coated with an epoxy protective primer with a thickness ≥8μm to prevent scratches and oxidation during storage and application. The coating adhesion reaches ASTM D3359 4B grade, and the paint film does not crack or peel after 180° bending, perfectly adapting to the on-site bending and forming characteristics of trim coils.

Weather resistance and stain resistance directly determine the long-term appearance retention of smooth white aluminum trim coil product. The smooth white polyester coating passed a 1000-hour neutral salt spray test without blistering or rust, and a 500-hour xenon lamp accelerated aging test showed a color difference ΔE ≤ 3.0. Under normal outdoor conditions, it can maintain a bright white appearance for 8–10 years without significant yellowing or chalking. The high-gloss, smooth surface has a natural rainwater self-cleaning effect, making it difficult for dust and stains to adhere. Daily maintenance only requires rinsing with water to restore cleanliness, making it especially suitable for white products—ordinary matte coatings easily accumulate dust and appear dirty, while the high-gloss, smooth surface maintains a bright white appearance for a long time, avoiding the yellowing and darkening of building edges.

From an engineering application perspective, the smooth white trim coil has extremely high adaptability. Its weight is only one-third that of galvanized steel sheets of the same thickness, significantly reducing building load and installation difficulty. The aluminum material is rust-free for life, eliminating the need for regular painting maintenance like steel, resulting in a significant cost advantage throughout its lifecycle. The product supports pre-cutting and pre-folding services, allowing for direct pre-installation and reducing on-site processing.
